Apple Pencil scratched the screen but it is so tiny. Is it necessary to repair or included in warrant? What can I do to prevent further damage?

A damaged screen cannot be repaired - only replaced. While screen replacement will be expensive, it may be appreciably less expensive than replacing the iPad.
