small dent on apple pencil nib


i dropped my apple pencil and the nib is dented and shows a bit of metal, it still works perfectly on procreate but should i replace it? i do have a screen protector and i dont really care if my screen has small scratches, im wondering if i could damage the pencil itself tho. for now im using a different nib

You should always replace the Apple Pencil tip as soon as you see any visible wear - or if any surface damage is present - to protect your iPad's expensive screen and the Pencil's delicate transducer element from potential damage.


The Pencil tip is user-replaceable. Replacement tips are available from Apple in packs of four:
