How to disable Apple Music

How can I force my iPhone to play music from my Music app and skip trying to connect to Apple Music?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max on IOS 17.5.1. Whenever I get in my truck and want to listen to the music I have stored on my iPhone, it always tries to connect to Apple Music, which then says there's a connection error. I have tried to disable it and I don't subscribe to Apple Music (I don't want to, either). I have Cellular Data and Show Apple Music turned off in preferences.

In the past, I have used a voice command like, "Play <something> on my iPhone" and it would skip trying to connect to Apple Music and would play directly from the Music app on my iPhone. Now it doesn't do that. I have to physically go into the Music app on my iPhone and select the artist/album/playlist I want, which I really don't want to do while driving.
