Does Apple Warranty work for Apple Pen Sold by Amazon

I bought an apple pen from AMAZON sold by apple. Less than a year, the pen started to act wired. It's paired with ipad, and fully charged, but I couldn't draw or write on the ipad. Nothing shows up. I google the resolution and I tried to forget the pairing and paired it again. After few hours, it worked for a few minutes. Then, it stopped working.

I emailed AMAZON, and they said apple has one year warranty. So I should contact APPLE. I called apple, but they said the pen was sold by Amazon, so I should call AMAZON for replacement.

I would like to know before I drive 22 miles to an Apple store: if I can get a replacement for my apple pen (with one year warranty) that I got from AMAZON ?

Apple's hardware warranty is for one year on all of their products. In addition, when sold thru an Apple Authorized Reseller, that reseller may have an additional warranty or return policy. Although, I believe, Amazon only has the latter policy for a limited time, which is most likely expired.

I suggest that you call your "local" Apple Store and ask. Either way, Apple's warranty only covers manufacturing defects. This will require an Apple Technician to examine the Apple Pencil to determine if that is the cause, and not user caused, if you are looking for the replacement to be free.
