How to change the trusted phone number for Apple ID on iPhone 11?

i gave my IP 11 to my sister in-law resetting…she created an apple ID but uses @icloud.com…after few minutes of navigating the phone it restarted.when asked to log-in her apple ID it wont work.but she typed in same apple ID & password she created.now wen we r trying to reset or change the apple id it will ask us to confirm from a phone number we are not familiar with.it only displays the last 2 digits of the trusted phone number but none of us uses a phone number that ends with that 53 as the hint indicates

The trusted phone number is manually added by the user. It does not get added by the system. So she had to at some point add that number and know what it belongs to.

If she has access to another device that is currently logged in to her Apple ID, she can update the trusted phone number from there.

If not, then there is no way to reset the Apple ID on your own. I would question whether the iPhone is still tied to your Apple ID, and requiring that one, or if she used a different Apple ID to set up the iPhone before using hers.

If you really end up having to reset the password for her Apple ID, then you will need to contact Apple Support.
