Get rid of obscure holidays from calendar

How can I get rid all of the holidays on my iCalendar? It used to just be US Holidays and religious holidays - now July 2024 - there are tons of obscure state holidays and observances "Town Meeting Day: Vermont" and "Evacuation Day: Massachusetts" It's taking up all my calendar box space!! I've been to general settings and unclicked "US Holidays" and "religious observances" and they're still there! Incredibly annoying!

That sounds as if you have subscribed to some other calendar. Open the Calendar application and look at the sidebar. Do you see any calendars you don't recognize? If so, un-tick them.

You might also go to System Settings>Internet Accounts and see if there is an account you don't recognize.
