Apple Cash transfer to bank account not working

I just got a new iPhone 15 Pro Max and I’m trying to transfer money from my Apple Cash app to my bank account. I get to the point where I add an amount and select the target account and hit next. Message pops up about turning on AssistiveTouch to confirm the transfer. I touch the AssistiveTouch button and nothing happens. The same is happening when I try to add money to the Apple Cash app. This used to work well on my previous iPhone 12, so I’m not sure what I need to do to get it to work.

That should never popup unless you have something enabled. Assistive Touch and Accessibility just can’t activate themselves.


Have you tried a forced restart? It’s much more than turning your iPhone off and on. Please review the Apple Support article, and once you restart your iPhone, check the settings again.

AssistiveTouch is off on my iPhone. If I click on the black cash card in my wallet and then click on the … button in the upper right corner I can select “Transfer to Bank.” If I select that the next screen asks for an amount. Enter that and click Next, which shows available options for which account to send the money to and free/instant transfer. When I click on the free option and then Next a message pops up about turning on AssistiveTouch and either OK or Settings. If I select OK I’m sent back to the previous screen (free/instant etc.). If I select Settings I can turn on AssistiveTouch and the little button appears on my screen. If I click on that when prompted nothing happens. Nowhere is there any button that says “Transfer” as there was with my iPhone 12.

I follow exactly the same process as you’ve illustrated, but when I get to Step 4 and select the bank account I want the money to go to the AssistiveTouch message pops up and then it’s in a loop. If I respond “OK” it returns to the page in your 4th photo. If I respond “Settings” I’m taken to the phone settings screen to turn on AssistiveTouch. The circle button appears on my screen but nothing I do moves the transaction forward.
