How can I retrieve deleted photos on iPhone?

If they were not deleted from your Recently Deleted folder, they will remain there for 30 days.

1. Open the Photos app  on your iPhone.
2. Tap Albums, swipe up, then tap Recently Deleted (below Utilities).
3. Tap Select, then choose the photos and videos you want to recover.
4. Tap  at the bottom of the screen, then tap Recover.

Check your recently deleted folder.

Per my original answer you restore from your backup assuming you have one, if not there gone.

The only problem with the backup answer is that any user that uses the default iCloud backup will find that the backups are being constantly overwritten and they will not be able to have a backup that is from 30 days ago. Even backing up to a PC/Mac will have limits on how far back you can go. In addition, if they are using iCloud Photos, then the photos are not even in the backup file that is used to restore the device. It is great in case your device is damaged to be able to restore your device to where it was before that occurred, but for going back in time, there just is not an elegant solution.

There are other options to backup your valuable photos, but simply restoring from a backup is not the answer.
