FCPX - video and audio same source but not aligned in timeline

I use a gopro 11 to record both video and audio at the same time...no special separate audio equipment.

this time when uploading to the timeline I can see the waveforms have shifted slightly to the right by a second or two making the audio not match the video. I've been searching answers all morning but all I can find is info on how to sync audio and video from different sources...this is not my issue. I just need to move the audio to the left without having to go into each clip one at a time and spend ages trying to line them up by hand...also, only the first 20 or so clips have this problem, the rest of the clips on the timeline are ok. As you can see in the screen shot, there is a small section at the beginning of each clip where is looks like there is no sound...its just shifted the whole wave form to the right slighty.

Q1: What is your PC model? (Desktop →Apple mark →About this Mac)

Q2: What is the macOS version?

Q3: What version of FCP is it?

I don't know if it has something to do with GoPro, but there was a report that only clips shot with DJI OsmoPocket3 lose the initial audio. The OP does not explain that the sound is shifted to the rear, but they share a very similar waveform +FCP10.8.

Q4: Are the about 20 clips GoPro?

Q5: Are there also some GoPro clips that don't have any problems?

Thank you for your reply.

I'm using a Macbook Pro M2

Macos Sonoma 14.5

FCPX 10.8

All clips are from a gopro 11 but only the first few dozen have their soundwaves shifted slightly to the right.

..I am currently going through and doing it manually which is incredibly slow.

I still need to know where the error is because I can't operate like this all the time going forward.

Thank you.
