Mac mini M2 on a 4k 144hz monitor

I just bought a mac mini m2 and I am wondering if it will work on a 4k 144hz monitor?

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

What inputs does the monitor have? Assuming that the monitor is willing to accept a 60 Hz signal, the connection might be


  • Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt – unlikely, but there are a few monitors that require Thunderbolt input
  • USB-C to USB-C
  • USB-C to DisplayPort
  • USB-C to Mini DisplayPort
  • USB-C to HDMI
  • HDMI to HDMI

The advantage of a HDMI to HDMI connection is that it wouldn't tie up one of your two multi-purpose USB-C / TB ports.
