Help to create a formula to sum 2 cells if they both have numerical values

Hi Community,

I am editing a company document that is sent to clients and page 2 contains a lot of key data. To reduce data entry errors and ensure data consistency, mant table cells on page 2 are referenced in other table cells throughout the document.

The value of a table cell towards the end of the document is the sum of 2 cells on page 2. The cell references to be summed are:

  • Table 9::B12
  • Table 9::B16

The default value for these 2 cells is "N/A". I am trying to create a formula that will produce a result based on the following scenarios:

  1. Both cell values are "N/A" so the formula result = "N/A".
  2. A cell value is "N/A" and other cell value is a number. The formula result is the number.
  3. Both cell values are numeric so the formula result is the sum of these 2 values.

Any suggestions for a formula?

Many thanks,

Tim
