Are others still having troubles with their focus? I just updated to 17.6 hoping this would fix things but no improvement.
the front camera works, as does the wide angle but it gets annoying to always have to change it to 0.9x to take a picture

Hi, i have the same issue so just checked zoom app and the camera was able to focus perfectly well. So it is definitely a problem with the Apple app for the camera.
this is really painful when trying to take photos of holidays and unique moments.
apple can you please fix your mess !

Same issue.
1x does not focus, the 0.5x zoom works fine.
We need a fix for this.

I recommend that you make an appointment and have it checked out. My iPhone 12 mini has no problems and if it were the update all of us would have an issue.
