mounting fuji finepix f30 to photos to import photos

How can I get Photos to recognise my Fuji Finepix F30 camera - so that I can upload photos from it into the Photos App on my MacBook Air? And how will I know when anyone has answered this?

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.6

Answers go to your email. Kind of an ironic question.

Have you tried to use the app Image Capture that's in your Applications folder? I've had good success using that with otherwise contrary cameras.

What format are the images in? Are they compatible?

I usually take out the SD card and use a USB card reader. However, your camera may not have removable memory.
