activation lock on mac mini m1

I bought a Mac mini m1 back in 2020. I set it up with an old tv as a monitor and it didn’t work so well. So I put it up until recently I couldn’t remember the password. On top of the fact that I changed my Apple ID since last use. So I tried to erase it and of course it didn’t solve my issue like I thought it would. I know this is an outdated model to some but I would love to get it going.

Changing your Apple ID does complicate things.

If the following directions do not help you unlock and reset the Mac mini...?

Take the Mac mini to your local Apple Store or AASP with proof of purchase and have them help you reset the Mac mini.
