Workaround to change the text color in iOS/iPadOS Notes?

One of the most fundamental features in any software dealing with text is the ability to change the font color. On macOS Notes, it's super easy to change the color of text by just selecting part of your text, right click on it, click "Font", click "Show colors" and click on the color(s) you want.


On the iPhone and iPad on the other hand, I can't find a way to do this. In fact, this is pretty much the only feature missing from the iOS/iPadOS versions of the app compared to the macOS version. Switching to a different notes-app and ecosystem just to be able to change text color is not something I'm interested in. Is there any workarounds (like other places in iOS) where you can change the color of text and paste it into the Notes app?

Sorry, I should have been more accurate: You will be able to highlight text in different colors. Not using iOS 18 beta, I'm not sure how the highlight features will work (and we can't talk about the details here on this forum - at least the details Apple hasn't made official) but I know you'll find plenty of informations online.
