Safari is update when you update or upgrade your macOS.

See the following How to download and install macOS - Apple Support

or reply with the model year of your MacBook Pro and what macOS you are currently running if you need more help. Both of those are available at Apple menu > About This Mac.

If you can’t or don’t want to upgrade your macOS, for security reasons you may want to use a 3rd party internet browser that supports running their current version on your Mac rather than Safari. There is also a user tip about which browsers will work with each operating system: Browsers by Mac operating system - Apple Community
