The Bluebook for SAT testing will not open on my MacBook Pro

I'm trying to open Bluebook for SAT testing before the test but my mac isn't letting me open. It's not block by admin and I've tried deleting it and reinstalling. Nothing has fixed it. I don't know if the 11 means anything but I've googled it and it seem like no one else has had the 11. Please help!

I got the exact same issue. Turns out that bluebook doesnt actually support mac os 11.7.5 (collegeboard incompetence), I upgraded my to os 14.5 Only when I updgraded it worked. You might not have to go to macos 14, but try 12 or 13.

Operating Systems

  • Required minimum: macOS 11.7.5

We have to figure out that...

In Disk Utility>View, select Show all Devices, highlight the top left entry.

Run Disk First Aid on all items in the left panel, from top down.

Are you running any VPN, Anti-Virus, or Cleaning apps?

We need to see what all is running, a report from this will not display any personal info...

Things you might've already done?

Did you check to see if you meet the requirements as stated here:

There's a link (and other advice) at the Mac installation page under the subheading Student Download from College Board. It advances to a page housed on College Board. It's set up to examine the visitor's machine and OS then advise accordingly. It has a direct link to the relevant AppStore. The installation page might be worth a visit, here:

ChromBook?

School-managed Chromebooks from 2017 or later are supported. On Chromebooks, Bluebook must be run in kiosk mode, so it’s available only on Chromebooks managed through the Admin console in Google Workspace. Students cannot test on personal Chromebooks.

School-managed Chromebooks can be shared or assigned to students 1-to-1. Students who borrow a shared Chromebook to take the SAT Weekend must complete exam setup on the same device they take the test on.
