How to include a special character (e.g., <return>) in replacement text in iOS?

I end many, many of my emails with the following:

Thanks.

Tom

On my Mac, I use Textexpander to expand "ttom" to "Thanks.<return><return>Tom"

Is there a way to do that in iOS? I've tried copying and pasting the lines as I want them to appear, but the <returns> are stripped out.

Any way to tell it that I want a pair of ascii(13)s in there? Third party solution?

Thanks.

There is a version of TextExpander for iOS, if I recall correctly.

You also could probably do something with Shortcuts.

Or, as suggested above, use the Signature function. You'll find it in Settings>Mail>Signature. I just tested it and it will handle the carriage returns properly.
