I've owned my Apple Watch Ultra 2 for two weeks now, and it worked perfectly until the most recent update. Now it won't record steps, or any kind of physical activity at all. I've tried shutting down both my watch and paired phone, and re-linked both, but nothing seems to work. Has this happened to anyone else?

Unpair the two devices. Force restart both devices. A forced restart is more than just turning the devices off and back on. Please follow the steps in the Apple Support articles I linked below. After the force restart, please pair the two devices again.
Pairing and syncing devices consumes a lot of battery capacity. Battery capacity will decrease for several days and then return to normal.

Hi I have the same issue after update non of the activity or HR sensor or Compass or Rise to wake didn’t work.
Following options I have tried.
Non of the above mentioned did not work.
Then I visited Apple Care service center They diagnosed my Apple Watch said Gyroscope sensor and other sensors not working only option is replace the watch but it’s not under warranty. That is the only option they told to me.
Finally Finally My Apple Watch starts working Final step what I have done
I drained my Apple Watch Battery till my watch switched off automatically due to lack of juice then I waited 24 hr Then I charged my watch till 8 percent then I tested HR rate raise to wake up Activities Bingo all sensors are working as expected. Thanks to this forum this suggestion I got it from this one of the victim posted same thing. It worked.
I am pretty happy to say Apple Watch working as expected.

Do you swing your arms when you walk? Steps are counted by the watch detecting the motion of the arm. Pushing a stroller will result in very few steps being recorded. Same results when walking a dog.
I’m sharing a link below to an Apple Support article on calibrating the Watch for great accuracy in regard to distance and it may help with stride as well.
It’s also worth mentioning that physicians are de-emphasizing steps as a necessary fitness metric and looking instead at overall movement and increases in heart rate etc.

After update my Apple Watch too having same problem, compass not working, rise to wake not working, HR sensor not working, No activities traced. when I went to service center they said sensors problem watch need to replace but watch is not under warranty now I ended up throwing in dustbin because its not repairable only replaceable.
I lost trust on apple updates never go na update on my phone or tab or matchbook or Apple TV.
Really disappointed with the update. before update its working perfectly after update sensors stopped working.

Thank you so much for this advice, Jeff! Sadly, it's still not working, even after unpairing, forced restarts for both the watch and phone, and re-pairing the watch. Everything works fine except for tracking physical movement... steps and double-taps. Nothing registers. (But everything else seems to work fine.) I'm going to call Apple Support to figure this out.
