I'm trying to add my phone number, which I have always had and two-factor authentication is tied to it, but the site writes that this phone number is already used in another account. Although I don't have any other accounts, I'm trying to forget my password to log into this account, which apple supposedly says is already in use, but when I try to forget my password it says Apple ID is invalid or unsupported.

For help with an invalid/not-active/not-supported account you need to contact Apple.
To reach Apple Support for an account issue:
1. Click here --> https://getsupport.apple.com/?caller=cups&PGF=PGF63005
2. Select: Disabled Apple ID
3. Select: ”The Apple ID is not active" alert
4. Select: “Continue”
5. Select a chat or telephone call option.

Contact Apple for support and service by telephone --> Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
They can then also help you with the telephone number issue.

Apple says your number is already linked to another account, but you can't find that account.
Try this:
* Check for typos: Make sure you're typing your phone number and Apple ID correctly.
* Contact Apple Support: They can help you figure out what's going on with your account.
