Can’t use any of the above options for none of my contacts

Things to try when something is not working as expected:

Quit the Mail app, re-open the Mail app again

If needed: see how to: Quit and reopen an app on iPhone - Apple Support

Check whether you can now use the options in Contacts

If still not: Try restarting your iPhone (deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update recent setting changes etc., and often restores order)

Check again whether the Contacts issue is solved.

If you haven't already, you may want to try updating your iOS17 version to the newest version:

(NB: It is wise to first back-up your iPhone data before updating.)

Eg: Go to Settings > General > Software Updates to see if an update is available

About iOS 17 Updates - Apple Support says iOS 17.6.1 is the latest.
