iTunes had a separate password to backup from personal computer

A couple years ago when I got a new iPhone, I was attempting to restore from iTunes on my personal computer, and I think the password to do that was different from my Apple ID password. I almost could not get all my pictures and data-- had to go through many old passwords to find the correct one, and it wasn't the same as my Apple ID password.

Now, I am having issues with unauthorized log-in attempts in another country, and want to change my Apple ID password, but want to confirm if there is a still a separate password to access the data in my iTunes backup on my pc within iTunes

Windows, Windows 10

Yes, the iTunes backup password is completely independent of your Apple ID account. You can modify your Apple ID password and the iTunes backup password will stay the same.
