Dotted Circle Issue in Itunes

After so many years, is there really no viable solution to this??? I still randomly have this issue and I can manually delete the songs that have the dotted circle and then re-sync them, but when it happens to hundreds of songs, it's a nightmare to have to do this. I know some people say to just un-sync the library and then re-sync, but if you have tens of thousands of songs, that process can easily take at least a couple of hours! What would solve this issue is if the developers put an option in iTunes to delete the songs that have the dotted circle next to them in iTunes under "On My Device...Music". If we had the option to sort by the files that have dotted circle, highlight them, and then delete them, it would be ideal! It would allow us to just resync those dotted-circle songs instead of having to re-sync the entire library.
