As I have said before, if you are that naive to believe everything you read on the internet, then it is not a safe place for you to be browsing.

You need to realize that these fake claims made on TikTok and other Social Media sites are only there to drive Likes and to have people directed to their page. Search Engine responses that use AI to scour the internet for these claims have no idea if they are true or not. We have seen the faked photoshopped post here to and it is laughable.

The correct answer is NO, you will not be banned. If you fell for it, then just let that be a lesson for you so you do not fall for those phishing emails and find yourself giving up all of your personal information because you believe everything that you see on the internet.

This is the message i got [Not a number]

An answer which would be expected and correct, as “the arithmetic of real numbers and more general numerical structures called fields leaves division by zero undefined, and situations where division by zero might occur must be treated with care. Since any number multiplied by zero is zero, the expression ⁰ ⁄ ₀ is also undefined.”

The original “banned” report was false. Whether it was intended as a joke, troll, or something else?

The answer it quite simple, no you cannot, it has no moderation and no rules, you can’t get banned from the calculator app because it isn’t a Form of social media, at most you will get an error, undefined, or Indeterminate

This thread started in August, thanks to some TikTok tripe.

I would hope the original poster has received their answer.

Or their Apple Account is long bricked of course, and they won’t be able to reply.

😉

That’s the calculator’s version of “Are you my NaN?” 🤭

Maybe I'm about to get banned.....

Me too, but for IEEE floating point dad jokes. 🤪

For those following along at home, the underlying IEEE floating point implementation is where the not-a-number result arises.)

More seriously, the Wikipedia section is interesting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Division_by_zero

And no, this 0 ÷ 0 stuff won’t get an Apple ID banned.
