I have to use android phone for exclusive whatsapp account. My iphone whatsapp is backed up wanted to restore to my android how?

Unable to backup WhatsApp chats to iCloud I want to backup my WhatsApp chats to iCloud on my old iPhone 14 Pro Max, so I can restore them to my new 16 Pro Max. I get the message: Backup not complete. Not signed in to iCloud. However I am definitely signed in to iCloud and WhatsApp is enabled in iCloud. Why is it not backing up?

You can’t use a WhatsApp backup from iPhone to android because isn’t compatible
