Troubleshooting Unknown Device After an Update:

B. A Glitch in Apple's Device Database?

I would contact Apple Support, asking them if there is a glitch in their user database. You should not be getting this message, if they this has never been replaced and if purchased directly from Apple, and none other. If purchased from anyone, other than Apple, then that may be why this is occurring. So, call Apple, requesting assistance.

B. Give Apple Feedback:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know what exactly is occurring.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all occurred after installing this update, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
