Is there a way to change the unwanted one to the original one I used and go forward with that?
Will I lose everything under the 'deleted apple ID ' if i can in fact do that process?
I do not know of a way to amalgamate two Apple IDs. You can look into "family sharing" which basically lets you use most of what you have with one Apple ID with another. But it does not share 100% of everything and might not be the best solution.
Assuming you have a history of purchases with the old Apple ID and possible online iCloud storage, an email account, backups, photos, messages etc. also associated with the old Apple ID, it might be best to revert back to the old Apple ID. On the new computer, where you have the new Apple ID, to do this you would go into System Setting, select Apple ID, and log out. Before doing that, make sure you have all iCloud files restored physically to that Mac, as well as Photos, and disable Find My ... if it was turned on. When you log out of that Apple ID, it may ask if you want to save items to your computer, I would answer yes.
Then log in to the old Apple ID on the new Mac. Going forward, continue using that old Apple ID, you can basically stop using the new one and "retire" it. If you made any purchases with the new Apple ID, those won't be available under the old Apple ID, unless you activate Family Sharing with the two Apple IDs -- that's up to you.
You might find that some Messages conversations are now all merged, depending on how you were using Messages with your Apple ID. But all Messages should still be there.
