How to use the Photos app on a MacBook Pro?

Has someone created a video for beginners on how to handle files, albums, original photos and documents on a MacBook Pro using a 14.1 or Sonoma OS? I have been a windows user for the past 40 years with no problems. Since I bought my Mac about a year ago I am as confused as ever when it comes to files, albums, folders, When does a photo file stay unchanged with all meta-data intact, when does it become corrupted by moving it, etc., etc., etc.

I have wasted weeks on this and really need some help. Am not computer illiterate I am simply Mac illiterate. I have looked at several YouTube videos, but it seems that when I pull up the window, I’m requested to the necessary buttons to complete the task are not there.

Again, I am operating on a 14.31 operating system otherwise known as “Sonoma“

Please Help!
