Removing Apple ID Default User

Hello, I want to remove an apple ID default user on my Apple TV. Will my iCloud content on the cloud in other devices be deleted as well when I remove the default user? I don't want to lose my iCloud stuff, I just want to change the default user on my Apple TV and keep my iCloud intact.

change user associated with default profile tvos My apple id is the default user on all of our apple TVs. My wife has been watching lot of stuff that I have no interest in and the recommendations and up next are over run with her shows. Would like to change the user (her apple ID) associated with the default tvos profile and retain the recommendations, up next, etc and start fresh with my ID. Is this possible?

Change Apple ID in Apple TV app on Mac Hi, so my MacBook is signed into apple tv under my exes apple id, how can I change it back to mine? If possible, without having to contact him. To be more specific, when I click on AppleTV on my mac, it always says his name, and I still have access to all the movies and such that he bought. I would like to sign out of his account, and sign into mine. I would really like to be able to do this without having to contact him, since we've been no contact for 2 months now. However, I'd really like to access my own AppleTV account. Thank you!

no, resetting apple devices to give away or sell does not delete data from all devices you own using the same appleID, would be crazy move on apples part if it did

but if you remove the appleID then the appletv will no longer be able to access icloud stuff or purchased stuff and apps downloaded with the appleID will likely stop working
