Why is active calories different than total calories
I understand that total calories is both active calories and resting calories put together however my confusion is how there are more total cals if i have no resting time. For example today i went on a walk and hadnt touched my apple watch at all that day and my phone doesnt track calories either. I decide to put on my watch for the walk specifically and as im walking the total cals shoot up to 100 calories higher. If i have no resting calories, why does it do that? If i burn 516 active and 614 total, does it mean i actually burned the 614 or only the 516
