How do I get rid of widgets?

Hold your finger on the widget until the option to remove the widget appears. Tap to remove it.

Eg (for iOS17) says:

1. "Touch and hold the widget to open the quick actions menu.
2. Tap Remove Widget (or Remove Stack), then tap Remove."

Wondering in what way you are trying to delete the widgets.

Re: have to put them to the side of the homescreen, any one have the same problem?

Usually when you Touch and hold the widget to open the quick actions menu you will see a popup with remove widget option.

What IOS are you currently running?

Is the widget from a third party app?
