YouTube Infinite Loading Glitch Any %

YouTube app won’t load. Im on a iPhone 14, running the newest version on the App Store and my iOS is up to date.

A few days ago YouTube simply stopped loading on my phone. I open the app to, rather than thumbnails, perpetually loading gray boxes. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times, so it is now stuck on the welcome to YouTube screen, following sign in. If I bypass sign in with use as guest it’s back to the loading grey boxes.

This has been occurring for days and I’ve tried a lot of basic trouble shooting. Disconnecting from wifi, trying on my cell service, trying a different wifi network. I made sure background app refresh was on and YouTube could use cellular data in settings. Still no dice. I even reset my network settings. Updated the app, updated IOS. Cleared browser settings and history because I figured it could be related. Cleared up like 2 gigs deleting old apps because I thought it could be a storage thing.

Nothing has helped

Any advice on what I should try next or some insight as to what may be going on would be appreciated.

Have you tried completely removing the app along with the data by choosing Remove App and then Delete after long pressing on it? Then reinstall and see if it still persists.

Also try turning off Private Relay.

Does YouTube on Safari work?

Removed the app along with the data. Deleted with a long press. Issue persists after a few full deletes and reinstalls.

Don’t believe I have private relay on. I don’t have an option for it in my iCloud settings. Not sure how to check but I don’t have the iCloud+ features. Thanks for the advice tho that’s something new.

YouTube on my safari is not currently working. That’s weird.

Youtube.com doesn’t load on safari, I can’t play videos in the safari browser. It also appears the YouTube music app isn’t working. Very odd. You’d think this consistency could point to some sort of screen time or web restriction but I am a grown man lol. No content restrictions, no screen time limits. And again it just suddenly stopped working I didn’t change any app or web settings.

Also some other Google umbrella apps DO work like Google Chrome loads and runs fine, it will display video search results but won’t load if I click them. Other video playing apps and sites like Vimeo work fine.

YouTube app works on my IPad right next to me. The iPad can play videos in the safari browser, and access the app so it’s not a server thing. Getting very perplexed.
