Final Cut Pro Noise reduction issue
Hey there!
I was using FCP to reduce some of the noise I had in some photos and it works great but when I apply it, it cuts off half the photo?
Why is this?
Thanks

It is version 10.8
I don't take photos very much and when I do I colour grad them in FCP
So it's just a raw photo with some colour grading on it.
It was a very dark room, so I had to bump my ISO up quite a bit, making it noisy/grainy.
So I added the noise reduction to it and it cut off half the photo?
I tried switching it to 1080p, but now the photo disappears as seen in the background of the screenshot. All I want to do is add noise reduction. What should the project size be?
Thanks for taking the time to help me!
The project size should be whatever size you intend to deliver. In many cases 1080p is fine, but we don’t know what you need or want.
I don’t understand your statement about the image disappearing. Can you show what you see after changing to 1080p?
I took a screen recording of the issue and made it into a YouTube link for you to see what I'm having trouble with. Hopefully this helps you see whats wrong so we can truble shoot it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wAIze_QS6o
You haven't answered photo information yet. Please show me a screenshot of the inspector (general).
Q2: What is the detailed information about the photo?
Q5: New library →Will the same phenomenon occur if the same effect is applied to the same photo?
You are editing in a vertical project. Is that what you intended?
If not, then press Command-J, then click Modify and change the project size:
Q1: What version of FCP is it?
Q2: What is the detailed information about the photo?
Q3: What is the inspector information for the effect name?
Q4: What will it look like?
Noise reduction? In a photo?
Please tell us in detail what you were doing, if possible with screenshots.
Is the clip disabled in the timeline? Is the noise reduction set so high that it affects the entire image?
Nope and no. I set it to low and it still does the same thing.
What happens after setting the project to 1080p if you uncheck Noise Reduction, and Color Correction? Can you post a screenshot of that?
Would it be possible to share the still using Dropbox or WeTransfer?
