WhatsApp Transfer from iPhone to Android

I'm in the process of swapping my phones over however, I can't seem to transfer my WhatsApp chat history over - just the groups which I have been added to over the years. Does anyone know why this could be please, or offer some advice?

Transfer WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone without erasing chats on iPhone. I was using an iPhone XR that got damaged and I could not get access to it but it had a backup on iCloud. For two weeks I used an android phone before I could get a new iPhone. I restored the backup to the new iPhone including WhatsApp. Now I want to integrate the WhatsApp chats on the android phone to the WhatsApp chat in the iPhone without erasing the chats on the iPhone.
