Audio renderer issue. Please restart your computer
I'm using a MacBook Pro 14-inch with an M1 Pro chip, running macOS Sonoma 14.6. Recently, my audio stopped working entirely—no sound through inbuilt speakers but it is working when I'm connecting external speakers or airpods. I've tried resetting coreaudiod, checking all audio settings, and even booting in Safe Mode, but nothing has worked.
I even visited service center they said that it could be some malware because of that the inbuilt speakers aren't working so they reset my Mac and it started working. After using it for few hours I put my macbook to sleep mode. When I again started to play any video it gave me the same error "Audio renderer Issue. Please restart your computer".
Additionally, attempting to play an MP3 file via Terminal using afplay results in the error "AudioQueueStart failed ('what')."
The issue isn't only with YouTube but with Apple Music or any video straeming online platform(Netflix,PrimeVideo etc)
As of today(8th Aug) there was a Mac update Sonoma 14.6.1. I updated to the latest version and the inbuilt speakers started working fine. After using it for few hours everything was fine and then I put my laptop to sleep. When I opened it after an hour again the same problem. No video and audio is playing.
Could this be a software problem, or might it be hardware-related? I'm really frustated with this issue. Didn't get any help from service center nor Apple support. Any advice would be appreciated.
