how do I remove a fake virus alert on my Mac

If you see it as a Notification in the upper right corner of your screen, then go to Safari > Settings > Websites > Notifications, and remove all of the sites that you have allowed to send you these Notifications.
I already did that and it did not help. The fake alert comes up when I sign in on AOL. I am able to access my website by clicking on new window. But the fake alert is still there when I sign in again.
From where? As in, how are they appearing?
It appears on my screen when I sign in on my AOL
Hmm, can't help you there. Especially when it appears in only one spot. Too difficult to diagnose across a forum.
