Can Apple Watch tell you your VO2 Max accurately?
I'm an older guy that has some concerns with the V02 Max results. I do quite a bit of cardio: indoor bike, outdoor bike, walk, hike, very slow run, circuit training. The only results that are measured are the outdoor walk, hike, and run. One problem is that i have a one knee that is slightly gimpy. As a result, I don't often walk or run at max effort. Running or walking at max speeds outdoors are more limited by the knee than than running out of breath. So some days, I deliberately walk slower than normal (but longer) and focus on the scenery instead of the effort. My heart rate on those days is not very elevated. If I don't record these events, they won't count as exercise. I'd like to see the V02 max measurements on other events (cycling) that are not as limited by knee issues. And a clarification about outdoor walks that are not intended to be challenging.
