Restrictions on older versions of Macs

Is it possible to block specific websites and apps using family sharing like I do on my iPhone on macOS high Sierra 10.13.6?

I have content restrictions limiting adult content and specific websites on my child's devices through family sharing. Do those limitations only apply to Safari or does it apply to all browser apps (Opera GX, Chrome, etc)? I have found inconsistent information when trying to find the answer online.

Can I restrict adult websites for a particular user? We have an Imac on our main floor and the kids are using it for homework and stuff. On my kids ipads, I have screentime setup, but this is just a general computer that all the kids will use. I made one generic user "kids" and was wondering if there's a way to restrict adult sites for the "kids" user? I know you can restrict via screentime, but that requires each kid logging in to their apple id correct? This computer is really just something setup for a quick access to the internet to look something up. Thanks!

Removing app download restrictions on Apple Account under Family Sharing plan I am on under my moms family sharing account, and i just got a macbook for college. I need to download apps, but evertime i try to do so, it says I have to ask permission. Is there a way me and my mom can turn that feature off? I am 18 years old, and I just bought myself a MacBook for college, but I am under my mom family sharing plan. This restricts me from downloading apps I need for school. is there a way me and my mom can change this feature? [Edited by Moderator]

AFAIK, the Family Sharing screen time controls were not available until Catalina was released. There were third party programs that enabled control of websites & apps on High Sierra but they are probably no longer available.
