What's the duration for free subscription to claim when we buy new MacBook?

This is my first ever MacBook and it shows that I can claim the free 3 months Apple Music subscription , but I would not be able to use and will not use music for 1 or 2 months due to mine coming exam. So I want to ask or know that if I should claim this today ( August 10, 2024) or if this will not expire then I will not claim the free trial. I will wait and claim when I am free to use this i.e after September , so should I wait or claim ?

You can wait for 3 months after you activate your new MacBook Pro. See the following from Apple Music - Apple

You’ll have three months to redeem the offer after the first activation of the eligible device.◊

That statement is included in the following section of the "Questions? Answers" of Apple Music - Apple
