Itunes library gone
Went to open my iTunes on my Dell laptop and a message came up saying Folder containing iTunes library cannot be found and is required. Please choose or create a new library.
My iTunes library is on my NAS as it holds over 2000 ripped CD's as there is no room on my computer. For years the iTunes was pointing at the NAS where the music is kept and has not had an issue. Only a few days ago, I opened iTunes and ripped another CD. But now...nothing.
I thought there was something wrong with iTunes, so I uninstalled it and then re-installed it. In the past when I have done this, iTunes kin has loaded, and I was able to go in and type in the path to the music on my NAS, and it immediately loaded. Now, however, the skin does not show just this **** message. When I click on 'choose a library' it simply goes to my PC files, but there is no iTunes music library on my PC.
There is no path on my PC to the music because as I have said I do not keep it in the PC. If I could have the blank iTunes skin, I can go into settings/advanced and type in the path to my NAS, which is what I have done before.
Please can anyone help as it has taken me years to rip all my music onto iTunes and there is no way I can rip over 2000 CD's again.
Strange thing is my Sonos which has the same path to the music files on my NAS still works perfectly from both my PC and my iPhone.
