Horizontal black lines appearing on MacBook Pro display

For more than eight years, I have owned this laptop. I saw horizontal black lines when I was typing essays and other stuff. The majority of the time, it goes away in a matter of minutes, yet it keeps happening until 2024. 99.9% of the screen was covered by it when I opened my MacBook Pro laptop. I've adjusted the fan speed and can see my mouse at the top of the display. My attempt to use an HDMI cable to link this laptop to the TV was successful. It is either GPU or Display hardware issue independent of your actions.

This is a classic failure on this old 2016 MBP

typically Horizontal would point to GPU /screen buffer /display-generator

most likely the default Integrated GPU; if 2 GPU and external monitor invokes the Discrete GPU like demanding apps such as Photos.app
