I was working on a fairly small FCP project - then accidentally imported and enormous amount of files that have nothing to do with it. I deleted the files - it said they moved to the trash. I closed FCP & it's been about a week - that small project still says it's 500GB big so obviously those files are somewhere taking up space. Any idea how to delete them once and for all?

If you imported with optimized media or proxies these will still be in the library storage location. You can remove them with the Delete Generated Library Files function.
