Not receiving notifications on my MacBook Air

hello there, I'm a new user of apple here, i have this MacBook m3 for like 2 days, I just got it settled ,its brand new and the notifications don't work at all, i have checked everything on the internet, did all the updates, tried restarting, all the permissions on the mac and on the apps and on the browsers (I use safari) are okay but they still don't even show up , not even once , not a sound, not a pop, nada, while they show up just fine on my phone.
