Just got a new MacBook Air 2025 M4 and set it up from my old MacBook. Previously, when a website sent a text password it appeared in a blue popup adjacent to the password text field in Safari. Now that does not happen. Also, the message does not appear in Notifications. I have checked all settings I can think of with no fix. Ideas?

Thanks. This didn't work. Apple Support was able to figure it out after a number of tries. Had to add the new Mac to the device list authorized to see forwarded Messages. On iPhone Settings>Apps>Messages>Text Message Forwarding> Add the new device.

Some settings you might not have thought of are described in Automatically fill verification codes on Mac - Apple Support.
Correct. Text Message Forwarding needs to be enabled for SMS / MMS text messages to appear on your Mac.
