M4 iPad gets hot, Apple Pencil pro randomly stops to work - procreate

So I’ve been facing the issue that my new iPad Pro gets really warm after using it for about 20 minutes or so in procreate to a point where it’s really noticeable and not that comfortable anymore to touch it’s Center. Also at this point the battery starts to drain really fast. In addition my Apple Pencil pro seems to randomly stops working. Then I have to restart the Programm. I’m an artist and had multiple devices before - never had any problems like that before. My drawings haven’t changed and my m2 iPad never really got warm in any way - it worked always flawlessly.

Ensure that you have disabled the Accessibility Zoom function. Many reports have been seen here that attribute unexpected high temperatures when using Procreate with an Apple Pencil:

Settings > Accessibility > [Vision] Zoom > Zoom - set to OFF

Otherwise, it is not unusual for an iPad to become warm when being used - more so when using some types of iPad case. High screen brightness and/or CPU intensive Apps will also create more heat.

The key point is that whilst your iPad may become very warm in normal use, the iPad should not become uncomfortably hot to handle. If your iPad is becoming too hot to hold, you should take your iPad along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians can examine and test your iPad for faults.

Thank you, everything was turned off. I noticed that it only seems to get warm in combination with the Apple Pencil pro. I’ve tried to scribble in procreate with my fingers for more then 10 minutes, nothing got warm when doing so. But when using the pencil pro my iPad gets noticeably warmer. I will get a replacement pen today since my pen wouldn’t also connect to my iPad after restarting it anymore. Let’s see if it fixes that or if it still occurs. Thank you for your answer!
