Can I shift eSIM data to new iPhone without visiting the operator store of Airtel India and Ooredoo Oman?

eSIM disadvantages with few cellular operators:

I have two eSIM installed in my current iPhone, (one eSIm

from India Airtel operator and another eSim from Oman Ooredoo operator)

I visited USA and want to buy latest iPhone as exchange.

Question:

Can I shift eSIm data to new iPhone without visiting the operator

store of Airtel India and Ooredoo Oman.

When I checked the Ooredoo store, they don’t allow to change

eSim without visiting the store in Oman and will take a fee to issue new QR

code. (if money is the issue we can pay online. But I can’t visit each country

to get eSIm activated)

In this situation, I feel eSIM is very disadvantage than

physical SIM card. (due to the greedy operators wanting to charge for to issue

new QR code, and more difficult part is visiting each country to get the code.

How can Apple community can help in this issue by regularizing the policy of all operators around the world

An eSIM CAN be remotely provisioned as long as the device has connectivity.

Whether a carrier chooses to implement this capability is up to them.

Apple doesn’t regulate how operators manage their networks or hoe owners use their products any more than auto-makers enforce safe driving practices.

If a carrier doesn’t meet your needs, change carriers … or contact your local telecom regulatory agency.
