132 battery cycle count on an iPhone 15
This seems a bit off to me, I bought my iPhone 15 brand new about 7-8 months ago and as of right now my battery charge cycle count is 132 yet it’s still listing it as 100% battery health. I only use iPhones for my mobile phones and have had many many models in the past, all of which are at the maximum of 80% battery health by cycle 500 (usually more along the lines of 70-75% by 500), it seems a bit off my 15 is still at 100 when I’m almost 1/3rd of the way to 500. My boyfriend, who I gave my old iPhone SE2, is right below 500 cycles and is at about 65% if I remember right from the last time I checked, so again it seems weird (though the battery in that phone is obviously much smaller and budget level). I’m wondering if the count is not accurately recording? If it’s not I want to bring my iPhone to Apple and get the battery replaced before my battery warranty expires, I know Apple makes really good batteries even my nearly 10 year old MacBook Air still holds a decent charge but it completely dies at around 20-30% and I don’t want to deal with that on my iPhone (when I’m using the Mac I’m usually near a power socket, not the same when using my phone) nor do I want to be caught out of warranty having to pay to replace my battery, from what I’ve heard Apple, like most companies, is picky with battery replacements vs. other warranty services.
