rechargable Magic Mouse 2 (Model A 1657) does not charge

Hi Folks,

i havent used my rechargable Magic Mouse 2 (Model A 1657) in many years and tried to charge it - it seems to be dead.

Is there an option to replace the rechargable battery?

Can a magic mouse battery die? I left my Apple Magic Mouse (rechargeable) unused for several months after a move, and now that I'm getting things set up again, I noticed it was dead. So I plugged it in overnight and am still getting no response at all. I've tested it with other wires and other outlets, and it still has no signs of life. I used to use it all the time, and would hate to have to buy a new one. Did I kill it by leaving it untouched ? Any tips for getting it working again?

Sorry, but no. The drawback of all rechargeable lithium batteries is if they are left with little or no charge left, they will lose their ability to be charged. This is not unique to these mice.
