iOS 17.6 - how do I clear an app cache?

I've gone down the usual route to clear cache for any particular app, i.e.:

• Settings
• General
• iPhone storage

As before, it lists all your installed app. You select the one, then this is where it's changed since the start of 17.6. There are two options now - offload app or delete app. Surely this can't be right? Both involve deleting the app! So I've got to delete the app (and then reinstall it) in order to clear its cache?? Please someone tell me I've got this wrong...
