9th gen iPad, iTrack solo input issue

When connecting my iTrack solo to my 9th gen iPad using apple usb camera adapter (powered by iPad charger or powering the iTrack solo with cables provided) I can monitor and here my guitar but within apps such as GarageBand and jamup pro I cannot select the iTrack solo as an input? GarageBand doesn’t give me the option to select an input, however when using an older iPad (2nd gen I think) this works fine! Focusrite have stated the iTrack solo is compatible so i wondered if I am doing something else wrong here?
